Anjaana Anjaani Review, Ratings & Response
The fresh pair of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra aka Piggy Chops and Ranbir haven't missed a single opportunity to promote their new flick 'Anjaana Anjaani'. Two strangers Akash (Ranbir Kapoor) and Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) meet on a bridge in Manhattan where both are trying to throw themselves down in a suicidal bid, being unable to cope with the hurdles of life any longer. But jump, they can't, and end up together in a pact which sees them spending 20 days together before they take the final plunge.Though it looks like a same old love story kind of a film where you also wish that the duo should have suicide at the first point meet on the bridge then you wouldn't have to sit and waste your time, however performances from Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor is perhaps the only thing which catches the eye in the movie where as Ranbir Kapoor continues his rock-steady run and is one of the main factors that make the film so poignant.
The premise of two sad people meeting on a bridge and going on a road trip is taken from the French film Girl On The Bridge. The idea of a to-do wish-list before dying echoes The Bucket List. The poster is copied from An Education.The screenplay, co-written by Siddharth and Advaita Kala from a story by Mamata Anand, goes nowhere fast.
Overall, Anjaana Anjaani cannot be considered as the complete entertainment for viewers and looks like a forced drama. Response is likely to be low as another big movie 'Robot' has been released.

Allahabad High Court declares Ayodhya Verdict : Land to be divided 3 ways
Finally the long awaited verdict comes out by Allahabad High Court today however it doesn't seem to have brought much happiness to the Sunni Waqf Board which says it will appeal in the Supreme Court against the Ayodhya verdict.
The three-judge bench comprising of Justice S U Khan, Justice Sudhir Agarwal and Justice D V Sharma has ruled in a majority judgement 2:1, that one-third part of the disputed land will go to the Sunni Waqf Board, one-third to the Nirmohi Akhara and one-third to the party for 'Ram Lalla'. As per the judgement, division of the land should begin in three months.
Till now, there has been activities reported related to the violence however the verdict has gone too well with the Sunni Waqf Board which is planning to go against the decision and getting ready to appeal in the Supreme Court.

Mukesh Ambani is the Richest Indian : Forbes Magazine
Forbes magazine has released a list of the 100 richest Indians which is topped by Mukesh Ambani for the third year in-a-row leaving behind L N Mittal and Azim Premji. RIL Chairman's total worth is estimated at USD 27 billion and total worth of top 100 richest Indians are USD 300 billion this year compared to USD 276 billion last year.
There are also rise in the number to billionaires to 69 this year from 52 last year. This is all the result of country's booming economy and a rally in the stock market. The second richest Indian is Lakshmi Mittal whose total worth is estimated at USD 26.1 billion as he retains his second position.

Rajnikanth Endhiran (Robot) Review, Rating would decide its fate
Biggest superstar of Indian Cinema Rajnikanth and most beautiful lady of the world Aishwarya Rai starrer Endhiran is all set to hit already fully booked theaters tomorrow i.e. 1st October, 2010 however critics are expected to roll out their personal reviews of the film and that will decide the fate of the costliest film on Indian cinema.
There is not just one but many things which would surely be a treat to the eyes of the people, one of them is the graphics used in the film. Rajinikanth will be seen in more than 100 different styles in a particular song which have been seen till date and the special effects used for the Robot are also special for the movie. Another major thing for this before-release-hit film is the number of prints and screen. Endhiran (Robot) will be release in more than 3000 theaters across the world.
Endhiran has been made with the total budget of around 170 crores where Rajinikanth charges 45 crores apart from the profit sharing and gorgeous Aishwarya Rai charged more than 6 crores.
Rajni plays double role. One is a scientist and another is a Robot. Scientist Rajni creates a Robot with artificial intelligence like that of sixth sense in humans to help human beings and to the development of the country, however its silicon heart falls in love with Aishwarya Rai which writes romantic poems. Knowing about the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot the villains try to get control of the Robot. Scientist Rajni fights to save the Robot falling into the hand of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.

Ayodhya Babri Masjid Verdict Today after 3 pm, Expect the Unexpected
After a long delay and deferment, the verdict on Babri Masjid Ayodhya case is set to roll out after 3 pm today by Allahbad High Court. The verdict in the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute will decide whether the 2.7 acres of disputed land on which the Babri Masjid stood before it was demolished on December 6, 1992, belongs to the Sunni Central Waqf Board or to the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi have apealed the nation to maintain the peace and accept the verdict by the court however tension prevails through out the nation as this is the most sensitive case of the nation. Katrina Kaif Hot Kissing Scene with Hrithik Roshan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
Bollywood’s reigning diva Katrina Kaif is all set to make her onscreen smooch debut with none other than heartthrob Hrithik Roshan.Director Zoya Akhtar has shot a two- minute steamy kissing scene, being touted as the longest lip lock in Bollywood so far, for her upcoming biggie Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara . Hrithik and Katrina have been cast opposite each other for the first time in Zoya’s film, though the two superstars have posed for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine in the past.
But director Zoya is reluctant to reveal details on the kiss. “ I don’t want to discuss details because we are still shooting the film. All I can say is that whatever we have shot is integral to the plot.
Everything has been filmed beautifully and the actors look great together on screen,” she says.
Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, Zoya’s second film after Luck By Chance , also stars her brother Farhan Akhtar along with Dev D duo Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.
A large portion of the film has been shot in Spain where the unit drew the flak of animal activists when the three male actors shot a bull- running sequence.

If Hrithik and Aishwarya were quite uncomfortable while doing the kissing scene for Dhoom 2 , Katrina’s condition was no different when she was informed about the kissing scene by the director.
Says a source close to Katrina: “ Initially, she was hesitant to doing the kissing scene with Hrithik. She wasn’t very enthusiastic about the idea. However, the director managed to convince her in the end.” Sources on the set of the film claim that despite her initial reluctance Katrina seemed quite comfortable kissing Hrithik when the scene was shot. The actress was very professional and co- operative all along, they add.
The kissing sequence happens at an important moment in the film where Hrithik Roshan’s character looks into the eyes of the heroine and bids her goodbye without saying a word.
It is only then that the girl realises how much she loves him and runs up to him to seal her affection with a lip lock. So far, the longest kiss on- screen was shared by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani . It lasted for about a minute.
Whether Katrina manages to strike chemistry with Hrithik in Zoya’s film remains to be seen. One thing is sure, though — they will set a new record for Hindi films when it comes to puckering up.

Pamela Anderson or Barbara Mori in list of Big Boss 4 contestants ?
Will it be Pamela Anderson or Barbara Mori in the Bigg Boss house when Season 4 of the show, hosted by Salman Khan, takes off on October 3? A section of the media has jumped the gun in announcing that sexy Pam is all set to make her Indian television debut by way of Bigg Boss 4 , but sources at Colors — the channel airing the show — claim that “ the tossup is between” the former Baywatch hottie and Barbara, the Mexican beauty who starred opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kites , and that “ a final decision on either girl is yet to be taken”. The show always features one foreign beauty among the contestants.
“ Both Barbara and Pamela have shown interest in Bigg Boss. But a deal has to be finalised. Barbara wants to be on Bigg Boss 4 because she needs a platform to give out the message that she is serious about a career in Bollywood after Kites . Pamela would love to be on the show because it would help her foray into Indian showbiz. But Pamela has demanded a huge amount of money, so we are still undecided about her,” says a production head of the show.
Pamela wants an amount of over Rs 2crore. Barbara, on the other hand, has reportedly agreed to feature on the show for Rs 50lakh.
“ Pamela’s agent is in Mumbai to negotiate for the show. A final decision on her will be taken depending on the number of days she would agree to stay in the house for the big money she is demanding,” adds the source.

Jade Goody, Shilpa Shetty’s tormentor on Celebrity Big Brother , did the trick on Season 2 while Bollywood wannabe Claudia Ciesla was roped in last year for Bigg Boss 3 . Since the show goes on air this weekend, the channel plans to lock one name out of Pamela and Barbara for Season 4 in a day or two.

Ayodhya Babri Masjid Verdict likely to be further postponed today
Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia, along with Justice Aftab Alam and Justice KS Radhakrishnan, the 3 panel judge bench of SC will hear the petition today on Ayodhya Babri Masjid case and would decide whether the verdict should be further delayed or not. It was deferred till Sep 28 which is today restraining the Allahabad High Court from pronouncing the verdict in the four title suits on th hearing on Sep 23.It is highly predictable that Supreme court will delay it further as the Commonwealth Games are about to kick off and nation cannot take the risk its image if something goes wrong, specially when the foreign delegates are in the capital city already.
SC deferred the verdict in order to give more time for contesting parties to arrive at some sort of settlement after the petition filed in retired bureaucrat Ramesh Chand Tripathi for the delay in verdict; however Central Board of Wakfs, the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board and the All-India Hindu Maha Sabha have pleaded for vacating the stay and allowing the High Court to pronounce the verdict.
If SC gives a nod to Allahabad High Court for the verdict, which is very unlikely, the latter would have 2 days to deliver it as the one of the 3 judges of High Court on this case, DV Sharma, retires on October 1.

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) extends due date for filing income tax return 2010
Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the last date to submit the income tax returns for the year 2010. This step has been taken due to the disturbance of general life caused due to floods and heavy rains. The latest Order of CBDT released today i.e. 27th September, 2010 is as follows:
"On consideration of the reports of disturbance of general life caused due to floods and heavy rains, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, in exercise of powers conferred under section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, hereby extends the due date of filing of returns of income for the Assessment Year 2010-11 from 30-09-2010 to 15th October 2010. Accordingly the due date for Tax Audit report u/s 44AB of the Income Tax Act is also extended to 15th October 2010."

Actress Vaishali Kasaravalli died today due to long time illness
Kannada actress Vaishali Kasaravalli passed away at a private hospital here today i.e. 27th September, 2010. 59-year-old Vaishali is survived by her husband acclaimed Kannada film director Girish Kasaravalli, daughter Ananya and son Apporva.Vaishali had this long time illness, chronic diabetes, causing her extreme bad health and in the end she suffered liver damage and dialysis for renal malfunctioning. Apporva took the responsibilities of her mother television serial ‘Muthina Thorana’ and Ananya Kasaravalli with her father attending to the medical care.
Vaishali had acted in several Kannada blockbusters of the early 80s including "Yeradu Kanasu", "Henne Ninage Yenu Bandhana" and "Professor Huchchuraya" and also won the the national award for costume designing in "Tai Saheba".
Vaishali Kasaravalli contribution in Kannada cinema contribution to filmdom is memorable and would always be remembered.

Chalasani Pandu Murdered, found dead in apartment
As per the sources, Telugu Desam Party leader from Krishna district, Chalasani Venkateswara Rao (Pandu) found “Murdered” in an apartment (Swapnika Pearl) at Madhura Nagar in Hyderabad. Pandu and his PA Mahender Reddy reached home in the night and was scheduled to leave on Monday at 5 AM but Pandu found “murdered” at 4th floor apartment. Mahender Reddy was seen escaping from the window of apartment in late night by the watchman, which shows his involvement in the death of Rao. He has been working with Rao for last 15 years. Police as of now not in the state to release any statement and would be probing the case; however not ruling out commission related issues to an illegal land settlement done few days ago as major cause behind this brutal act.
Pandu lost 1999 Elections by 1000 votes from Vuyyuru Assembly fighting as an independent candidate against TDP leader Anne Babu Rao. In 2004 and 2009 elections, he again lost Penamaluru Assembly to Minister Parathasaradhi by a meager 170 votes.
Google Birthday with Wayne Thiebaud Painting as Google Doodle
Google celebrates its 12th Birthday with yet another 'doodle' painting of a cake by 89-year-old Los Angeles artist Wayne Thiebaud. This can be seen around the world on the home page of the search engine giant. The candle on the cake makes the shape of the alphabet "L" and completes the Google on the cake.The California-based company was first incorporated as a privately held corporation on 27 September 1998. Thiebaud's work, reproduced by permission of VAGA, Visual Artists and Galleries Association, includes many cakes, most painted in the 1950s and 1960s.
This latest Doodle of Google sends a straight message of its birthday anniversary, however if we go and check out its doodles in the last couple of months some of very interesting observation can be made.

Varun Gandhi to marry Yamini Roy Chowdhury in December
Controversial poster boy of the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) and Pilibhit MP, Varun Gandhi, will tie the nuptial knot soon with Yamini Roy, his long time Bengali friend.During a visit to the floodaffected region of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, his mother and Aonla MP Maneka Gandhi said Varun’s marriage had been fixed.
“ He will marry a girl from West Bengal named Yamini,” she told newspersons.
She said all relatives, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul, would be invited for the ceremony. Varun had attended his cousin Priyanka’s marriage to Robert Vadra 13 years ago despite strained relations between their families.
Although Maneka didn’t mention the date of the wedding, sources in the party said it would take place on December 11.
Maneka and Yamini’s mother film critic Aruna Vasudev were spotted at a sari store in Varanasi three months ago. They were reportedly buying Benarasi silk saris and lehengas.
Party sources said Yamini was a graphic designer and had graduated from St Stephen’s, Delhi. She had also studied at Sorbonne University, Paris. The daughter of a former diplomat, she lives in Delhi’s Defence Colony. The couple has been friends for the past five years.
Varun made headlines during his Lok Sabha election campaign last year when he had made objectionable remarks against Muslims and Sikhs. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati had ordered his arrest.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Movie Review, Rating
When you’re watching an Oliver Stone film, you’re never really watching just a film. The maverick Hollywood veteran makes it his mission to stuff into each project a few moral science chapters too, riding on popular socio- political prejudice of the hour. In essence, you get several extra- feature subtexts in the packet.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps , sequel to the director’s 1987 cult hit Wall Street , retains the Stone syndrome. As an entertainer the new film brings back fundamental mainstream drama quotients from the original — flawed hero, near- perfect villain and cerebral teasers very much in place.
There’s also the expected line on hunger for success and wealth creating plastic economic booms.
But Stone here has also made a very political film. It mocks at the failures of America’s foreign policy that, going by his take, led to global recession.
The recipe of course would remain incomplete without stock melodrama.
The protégé- father figure undercurrent is once again played up to strike an emotional pitch like in the first film. What you get is a fine entertainer that softly does its preaching along the way.
To appreciate Stone’s new film, one needs to have a fair understanding of Gordon Gekko, one of Hollywood’s most glorious villains as played by Michael Douglas in the 1987 original. In that film the ruthless Gekko uses an over- ambitious stockbroker ( Charlie Sheen) for illegal gains, only to fall in his own trap.
The sequel opens some time after Gekko has been released from prison. He is on a comeback trail as a speaker and author. His estranged daughter Winnie ( Carey Mulligan) loves a young stock analyst, Jake ( Shia LaBeouf). When Jake’s boss is professionally finished by a Wall Street shark, Bretton James ( Josh Brolin), the guy plots revenge. He needs Gekko’s help to bring down James. In return he’s willing to broker peace between Gekko and his daughter.
The film takes some time to get going. Indeed, the first 45 minutes or so seem baffling with the various sub plots setting in all at once, somewhat convoluting the narrative. It’s a talkative film too, heavy on dialogues all along. And Jake’s revenge track could seem a tad too complex if you’re not exactly a big one on money matters.
Stone’s biggest achievement in Wall Street 2 doesn’t lie as much in reviving a 23- year- old saga as it does in eliciting some fine performances. This is Shia LaBeouf’s best act since Disturbia . The actor proves he is worth more than just posing as teenybopper eye candy in the Transformer flicks. On Douglas, what did you expect? Retaining Gekko’s wise, witty charisma, he is still a showstealer at 67, despite being a prop.
The fun bits in the casting though are the cameos. Susan Sarandon as Jake’s moody mom is one. And watch out for a highlight scene where Gekko has a verbal joust with Charlie Sheen as Bud Fox, his nemesis in the first film.

Aamir Khan’s Peepli Live is India's Entry at the Oscars 2011
Aamir Khan’s latest production Peepli [Live] is India’s entry in the Best Foreign Film category at the 2011 Oscars.
Confirming the news on Friday evening, Supran Sen, secretary- general of the Film Federation of India (FFI), said: “ The FFI has selected Peepli [ Live] as India’s official entry for next year’s Oscars, out of 27 films.” For 45- year- old superstar- filmmaker Aamir, this will be his third bid at the Oscars after Lagaan in 2002 and Taare Zameen Par in 2008.
While Lagaan made it to the shortlist of the final five, Taare Zameen Par — which marked Aamir’s directorial debut — failed to make the cut.
The versatile Raghubir Yadav, one of the few familiar faces among the film’s largely unknown cast, is another person with a history of Oscar nominations. Yadav has seen three of his works going to the Oscars in the past — Salaam Bombay , Lagaan and Water . Asked for his reaction, Yadav seemed cautious. “ We have been officially selected to represent India at the Oscars and that is great news. But to win, the film has to first make it to the final five,” he said.
Directed by debutant Anusha Rizvi, Peepli [Live] is a biting satire on farmer suicides. It also lampoons opportunistic politicians and TRP- hungry news channels.
With a mostly unknown cast, Aamir’s ` 10- crore crossover production has already grossed more than ` 32 crore in the domestic market alone.
Reactions in the film industry have been mixed. Shekhar Kapur, who made the Elizabeth films, stands by Aamir’s film. “ It goes to the Oscars with some great reviews and impressive reactions. I am sure Aamir will put his best,” he said.
Rahul Dholakia of Parzania fame was less impressed. “ Peepli [ Live] failed to win at Sundance.
I am not sure if it can really compete at the Oscars. But at least they have chosen the right production house, considering Aamir has a lot of experience at the Oscars,” he said.
“ Only if it makes it to the top five will it make sense to talk about the film seriously.
However, this is the best film India could have sent to the Oscars this year,” filmmaker Shyam Benegal said.
Bollywood fans all over the world received the news with enthusiasm and joy. Within minutes of the announcement, Twitter was flooded with fan reactions.
“ Can Ace Khan do dis time (sic)?” wondered praveen185. “ Congratulations Aamir and team for their Oscar nominee ( Peepli Live )... Oscar is ours this time,” wrote pioneerhifi.
Others were more cautious. “ Peepli will not make ... it closely resembles Billy Wilder’s Ace In The Hole ,” tweeted kittigadu.
The more hardnosed buffs see the nomination as Hollywood’s celebration of poverty porn in India. “ Oscars dig poverty in India. Sad, but true,” tweeted nikhil_ arora.
Peepli [ Live] had a special screening at the Berlin International Film Festival as well as the Toronto International Film Festival. It was also the first Indian film to have competed at the Sundance Film Festival in the US and was declared the Best First Feature Film at the Durban International Film Festival.
But at the Oscars, will Aamir get lucky this time?

He died in Berkeley, California, on Wednesday after the decline in health from recent hip surgery, said his family in a statement on Thursday. Facebook not opening, sign up and log in problems experienced
Social networking giant is facing some technical difficulties for the second day in a row. New users are not able to sign up where as the existing users are kicked out from the ongoing session frequently."We're currently experiencing some site issues causing Facebook to be slow or unavailable for some users," Facebook said late yesterday. "We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible."
However, the cause of the problem has not been revealed by the Facebook. As per the sources, trouble with a third-party networking provider was blamed for stopping some Facebook users from connecting with the cherished online social network that boasts more than 500 million members worldwide.
These problems would surely be sorted out as one of the best of engineers are working on the issue which means there would be business as usual for Facebook very soon.

Govt bans bulk SMS & MMS ahead of the Ayodhya - Babri Masjid Case
Worried over circulation of provocative statements and wild rumors ahead of the Ayodhya title suit verdict, the government earlier announced that it has banned bulk SMS and MMS across the country for the next 72 hours, however now that Supreme Court has postponed the verdict till 28th September, this ban is also like to be shifted around the said date.
The decision has been taken by the ministry of telecommunications and information technology in consultation with the home ministry and orders have been issued to all telecom service providers to impose the ban.
Fearing that hasty pronouncements of ‘victory’ by either side on the day of the verdict could lead to inflaming passions across India, home minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday pointed out that there perhaps would not be an absolute loser or winner as it could be a complex judgment which involves four title suits and various issues.
The home minister said the verdict could be instantly challenged, even by an oral application before the high court, for moving the Supreme Court.
He also called upon all organizations to ask their members not to spread rumors or make provocative statements.
“I would appeal to all parties to the suits as well as the general public and the media to reserve their opinions on the judgment or judgments of the special bench and not make any hasty pronouncements,” Chidambaram said.
He added: “ No one needs to have any apprehension, we can by working together, ensure that there is peace, order and harmony”.

Ayodhya Verdict on Babri Masjid postponed by Supreme Court till Sep 28
Supreme Court ended the suspense and deferred the Allahabad High Court verdict on Ayodhya till September 28 which was earlier schedueled on September 24. The apex court had yesterday declined to hear the plea to postpone the Ayodhya title suit verdict by the Allahabad High Court tomorrow.
An SC bench presided over by justice Altamas Kabir refused to hear a petition seeking to defer the verdict. Justice Kabir, before whom the matter was mentioned for urgent hearing, said he did not have the “ determination” to hear cases pertaining to title suits. The matter would be listed before an appropriate bench in the routine course, he said.
Appearing for the petitioner, senior counsel Mukul Rohatgi asked the bench to direct listing of the matter on Thursday before a bench competent to hear such cases. Justice Kabir, however, said he would not pass any order as his bench was not earmarked for hearing cases pertaining to title suits.
Efforts to seek an urgent hearing started soon after Ramesh Chandra Tripathi filed his petition on Wednesday morning. The petition challenged the high court order dismissing his plea to defer the verdict to enable the parties to settle the dispute through negotiations.
Advocate Sunil K. Jain, who had drafted the petition, mentioned the matter before the bench presided over by justice Kabir for urgent hearing at 10.30 am, but he was asked to come at 2 pm. In the post-lunch session, justice Kabir said the matter would be listed in the regular course before an appropriate bench.
Rohatgi then pointed to the urgency and sought listing of the matter on Thursday. But the confusion remained with neither an emphatic no nor an emphatic yes from the bench.
The fact that justice Kabir - the second in the list of seniority - was non-committal on the date of hearing gave an impression that the SC was not inclined to intervene in the matter at this stage.
The petitioner, however, is likely to mention the matter before another bench on Thursday. Tripathi is the 17th defendant in one of the six petitions filed by Hindus and Muslims claiming title over the disputed site at Ayodhya.
The Hindus claim the Babri Masjid was built in 1528 after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram, a claim that the minority community contests.
Though there is evidence of a dispute over the site since the 19th century, the present litigation started in January 1950 after the Hindus placed idols of Lord Ram in the disputed structure on the intervening night of December 22- 23, 1949.
The first two title suits were filed by Gopal Singh Visharad and Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das, who sought to restrain the authorities from removing the idols. The Muslims formally claimed the site with the Sunni Central Board of Waqf filing a title suit in 1961.
In 1989, all suits pending before the district court were transferred to the Allahabad High Court for a consolidated hearing. The interim orders protected the right of Hindus to worship at the site ( till the mosque was demolished on December 6, 1992). A three- judge HC bench, which heard the matter, reserved its judgment after conclusion of the arguments on July 26 this year.
On September 8, the bench fixed September 24 as the date for pronouncement of the verdict which is now moved to September 28. Tripathi earlier moved an application to defer the verdict.

Bigg Boss 4 contestants are ‘Troubled’ personalities
A film star accused of raping his maid, a wannabe- model who got married on reality TV, a reformed thief and a former bar dancer are among the 14 contestants on the upcoming Bigg Boss 4 , which starts airing in October.When Salman Khan takes over as the host of the popular reality TV show, he will be dealing with an interesting mix of personalities.
Although the final list of candidates is yet to be officially released, sources at Colors , the channel airing the show, confirm Shiney Ahuja, Dimpy Mahajan, Bunty chor and Tarannum are already in, as are Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari and TV actress Sara Khan.
Shiney, the Bollywood actor who was charged with raping his maid and acquitted after she did a Uturn, will find himself out of jail and into the Bigg Boss house — a cauldron of staged controversies.
“ Since Shiney has no films in hand at the moment, Bigg Boss is a good opportunity for him to connect with the audience again and present his side of the story,” a production head of the show said.
Former bar dancer Tarannum, who was arrested along with two bookies in 2005 on charges of cricket betting, is also being touted as a major highlight by the producers, as is Davindar Singh, popularly known as Bunty chor.
“ I want to be inside the Bigg Boss house to show my humane side. People have a stock opinion about me. I want the world to know that one can start life afresh after serving punishment for a crime committed,” Bunty said.
Dimpy Mahajan, the reality TV bride of Rahul Mahajan, who made headlines recently when she accused her husband of domestic abuse, wants to consolidate her base as a celebrity.
“ Dimpy aims to be a model and she wants to get rid of her coy bride image from Rahul Dulhania Le Jayega . Perhaps, she will take tips from husband Rahul, who was one of the biggest stars of Bigg Boss 2 ,” the production head said.
Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari will be entering the house and try to cash in on the fan base built by fellow Bhojpuri star, Ravi Kishen, in the first season.

Blackberry Tablet Blackpad coming on September 27 ?
According to the grapevine, BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM) would be launching the iPad competitor named Blackpad on 27th September, 2010, during its Developer Conference to be held in San Francisco.QNX Software Systems, the subsidiary company of RIM which acquired it in April this year for $200 million, is working on the OS of Blackpad where as Quanta Computer Inc. of Taiwan will be manufacturing the device, and Marvell powering it. There are also reports which suggests that RIM may consider to switch all its phones to QNX's operating system. The tablet will feature a 7 inch touch screen and one or two built-in cameras.
RIM has refused to comment, the Wall Street Journal said the device was likely to include wi-fi but not 3G, so will not be subsidized by phone firms. To get online where there is no wi-fi hotspot, it will connect via a mobile phone. The release for it is predicted for the fourth quarter of 2010.
It is also reported that the BlackBerry tablet will be priced at around $499, and will only support Wi-Fi and BlackBerry tethering.

Today is the Big day for Ganpati followers who would be involved in the Ganesh Visarjan (immersion) procession which will begin at 10:00 am on September 22, 2010. Ganesh festival is the 10 days affair however it lasted for 12 days this time.Lalbaugcha Raja Visarjan is a massive and lengthy affair in Mumbai, and it extends right through the night. The huge Ganesh statues are put onto the back of trucks and make their way slowly through the streets, followed by processions of DJs, bands, and crowds of dancing devotees.
The procession will Visarjan traditional route is from Lalbaug, Bharat Mata Theatre, Lalbaug, Sane Guruji Marg, Baikal Rly. Station (W), Clare Road, Nagpada, Duncan Road, Don Taki, Sant Sena Maharaj Marg (Kumbharwada), Suthar Gully, Madhav Baug, CP Tank, VP Chowpati Road, Opera and Girgaon.
Thousands of people and followers would be gathered for the mega-religious event for which Mumbai Police, Indian Navy and the Coast Guard would be providing aerial, sea and land security cover to avoid any miss-happening.

Rajasthan BSTC 2010 Online Counselling Schedule for admission published
University of Rajasthan has published the Pre BSTC Online Counselling schedule for the admissions into the teachers Course in various colleges of Rajasthan.
Rajasthan BSTC Results were declared on 23rd June, 2010 for the exam which was conducted on 2nd May, 2010.
Cut Off marks were also declared by the university along with the results. Candidates would be required to register and submit the fees between 23rd Sept,2010 to 06th Oct,2010 where as the allotment would take place on 11th October, 2010.
Remaining fees for the admission can be submitted between 12th Oct,2010 to 18th Oct,2010 which would also be time for the candidates to report to their respective colleges. Session would kick off from 19th October, 2010 after completing all the formalities.

Sarah Palin's Daughter Bristol Palin rocked Dancing with the Stars
Bristol Palin and her partner Mark Ballas debut performance performance answered why "Dancing With The Stars" is one of the hottest shows on television. Bristol and Mark Ballas just scored 18 points on their first dance on the Season 11 premier of Dancing with the Stars, however they entertained the crowd most especially when she tore off her costume. Babri Masjid Verdict Day delays Anjaana Anjaani release
The Release of Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra's latest film, Anjaana Anjaani , has been postponed by a week.
The film, which was scheduled to open on September 24, has now been pushed back by a week because the verdict of the Ram Janmabhoomi- Babri Masjid dispute is slated to be out on that date.
“ Our film is about celebration and joy, and the focus on September 24 will be on an issue that concerns the whole nation.
Whatever the outcome, I dont think people will be in the mood to watch a film on that day,” said Siddharth Anand, the films director.
Of course, Anand and the films producer Sajid Nadiadwala must also have it in mind that a possible dip in the law and order situation after the verdict could hamper box office prospects. “ This is a very important case for the whole country and the verdict could let off different kinds of reactions among people. We dont want to take a risk by releasing our film on that day,” Anand said.
Incidentally, the films hero Ranbir has been requesting Nadiadwala for quite some time to defer the release of his new movie. During a promotional event, Ranbir actually stated that it was not right to release the film on September 24 because a verdict of national level importance was being announced on the day.
“ Even if you look at it from a purely commercial viewpoint, with stringent security being deployed in many places the audience may not be able to come to the theatre and watch the film after the verdict. Whatever the decision, I hope it is in favour of all,” Ranbir said.
A section of the industry, however, believes the makers of Anjaana Anjaani want to defer their release because of the Dabangg effect. “ Anjaana Anjaani has two major stars and is being considered a major release this year. So much so, no other big film was slotted on September 24 because the makers of Anjaana Anjaani had already announced it as their release date a long time ago. Now, with Dabangg seeing one of the most glorious runs at the Indian box- office ever, these guys want to be cautious,” said a trade analyst, not wishing to be named.

Congress cant trust BJP on Ayodhya Case Verdict
The Congress on Monday announced that it wont trust the saffron brigade on Ayodhya, despite the BJP and the RSS reportedly “ downplaying” the impending Babri Masjid- Ram Janmabhoomi verdict from the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court.
“We cannot trust the BJP, the RSS and the VHP. In 1992, we made our biggest mistake when we accepted their affidavit... I have come to know that they are making preparations and they could do anything,” said Digvijay Singh, the AICC general secretary in- charge of Uttar Pradesh.
Singh said he has information that some fundamentalist elements could try to create trouble after the verdict and the Congress has directed all the MPs and MLAs to be in their respective constituencies to maintain communal harmony.
He said the saffrons organisations strategy could be gauged when L. K. Advani visits Somnath later this week. “ I am waiting for his statement from Somnath on September 25.” Singh, a former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, also advised incumbent Shivraj Singh Chauhan of the BJP that he should control overzealous workers.
Judge differs on Penalty One of the three judges hearing the Babri Masjid- Ram Janmabhoomi case on Monday expressed his disagreement with the two other judges over the penalty imposed to an applicant who had sought more time for an out- of- court settlement.
Hearing the application of Ramesh Chandra Tripathi to postpone the verdict, Allahabad High Court justices S. U. Khan and Sudhir Agarwal observed on September 17 that a penalty of Rs 5 lakh be slapped on him for wasting the courts time. But they eventually reduced the penalty to Rs 50,000.
The two judges had also denied more time for an amicable settlement.
Justice Dharam Veer Sharma, who was not present during the hearing, said: “ I respectfully disagree with the views taken by two brother judges. There is no provision under the law through which a penalty of Rs 50,000 can be imposed for making the application to relegate the matter for mediation under Section 89 Civil Procedure Code ( CPC).” “ According to Section 35- A CPC, the imposition of penalty cannot exceed Rs 3,000. I am sorry to state that at the time of passing the order I was not consulted.
Otherwise, I would have given my views to the honorable brother judges,” he said.
“ Thus, looking at the application from all or any angle, the only direction is required to be given in the application moved under Section 89 CPC is that the parties are free to resolve their dispute amicably, compromise before the date of delivery of the judgment and at this stage no interference of the court is required.

Vladimir Putin all set to marry Alina Kabaeva ?
It has talk of the town in Russia for more than a year now when Aleksandr Lebedev, the billionaire owner of Moskovsky Korrespondent, revealed some facts or fueled the rumors that Alina Kabaeva has given a birth to the Putin's Son. Now, the latest buzz says that Vladimir Putin has divorced his wife Ludmilla and all set to enter in the wed lock with perhaps the most prettiest athlete now turned MP Alina Kabaeva.A Russian website alleged that Alina was seen kissing Putin while having an intimate dinner in a city centre at a restaurant in Moscow. There is added piquancy in the fact that, despite her youth, Kabaeva has recently been made an MP.
Alina Kabaeva is the current State Duma deputy from the Party of United Russia since 2007. At the 2001 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, she won the gold for the Ball, Clubs and Rope, and silver in the Individual All-Around and Hoop. However, Kabayeva and her teammate Irina Tchachina tested positive to a banned diuretic (furosemide) and were stripped of their medals.
Later she took home the gold medal in the individual all-around for rhythmic gymnastics at the 2004 Athens Olympics and that is probably when she catches the eyes of Putin.
Sonkashi Sinha, Koena Mitra and Shruti Hassan graces Lakme Fashion Week Ramp
It may be because her debut Dabangg is already the biggest hit of the year that Sonakshi had such confidence in her strides. She walked the ramp for Kumar’s collection for Killer Jeans.Dressed in heels, with black jeans, a printed grey shirt, and a hat on her head, she carried the look with attitude.
The glares she wore were, however, quite unnecessary and yes, Salman Khan should urge her to lose just a little more weight. But we liked Sonakshi, she walked with elan, seemed to have fun and even did a little jig for the cameras. It was quite a different story from her last ramp outing at the 2008 Lakme week where she walked for designer duo Dev R Nil and looked awkward. The new Sonakshi can rock any look.
We’re not sure whether the kiss was spontaneous or a gimmick, but it certainly drew attention. Koena, who walked the ramp for good friend designer Rajat Tangri, kissed him and, as many claimed, set the mercury soaring. The generous display of cleavage might also have helped in upping the temperature.
Dressed in a sequined black cocktail dress with pink edging, the actress looked confident.
The collection, inspired by the Victorian era using thick winter fabrics, did not look too Victorian though.
But we guess Tangri was relying on Koena to do the magic.
Satya Paul’s inspiration for the collection was tarot cards, which had saris worn with leather corsets and dresses with gladiator shoulders. It was interesting to see rocker chick Shruti give up her usual grunge look for Indo- chic in an aquamarine sari worn with a black net blouse. We just wish the sari was not so drab.
Or was it Shruti who looked uninspired in it? The look and make- up was simple and pretty, but Shruti is known for her edgy dressing and that was missing. Did she rock the look? Not quite.

Lux Sandal South Scope Awards 2010 was graced by the some of the biggest names of the South Film Industry at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. The glamorous awards show was hosted by Shriya Saran and Shyam and the beautiful Sridevi Boney Kapoor was the Chief Guest of the show.
