Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati Visarjan 2010 would soon be on its way



Today is the Big day for Ganpati followers who would be involved in the Ganesh Visarjan (immersion) procession which will begin at 10:00 am on September 22, 2010. Ganesh festival is the 10 days affair however it lasted for 12 days this time.

Lalbaugcha Raja Visarjan is a massive and lengthy affair in Mumbai, and it extends right through the night. The huge Ganesh statues are put onto the back of trucks and make their way slowly through the streets, followed by processions of DJs, bands, and crowds of dancing devotees.

The procession will Visarjan traditional route is from Lalbaug, Bharat Mata Theatre, Lalbaug, Sane Guruji Marg, Baikal Rly. Station (W), Clare Road, Nagpada, Duncan Road, Don Taki, Sant Sena Maharaj Marg (Kumbharwada), Suthar Gully, Madhav Baug, CP Tank, VP Chowpati Road, Opera and Girgaon.

Thousands of people and followers would be gathered for the mega-religious event for which Mumbai Police, Indian Navy and the Coast Guard would be providing aerial, sea and land security cover to avoid any miss-happening.
