Indian Idol 5 gets its winner in Sreeram

In the star studded grand finale of Indian Idol 5 tonight, India got its Idol as much anticipated in Sreeram.

Hyderabad-based Sreeram Chandra, 24, has already worked with music director duo Salim-Suleiman. He recorded a duet with National award winning singer Shreya Ghosal for a Telugu film.

Sreeram has taken the trophy home, however it seems all three of them are the winners as city of dreams Mumbai awaits for them with arms spread.

The winner of Indian Idol 5, Sreeram Chandra took home Rs.5 million in cash, a one-year contract with Sony BMG, a Tata Winger car, and for the first time, a chance to sing a song in a Yash Raj Films' project.

It has been an amazing season for the show where it served as the biggest platform for the contestants as well as the celebrities who came in literally every week to promote their upcoming movies.

Like the every week episode, finale was also highly entertaining and got much hyped in the lights of the some of the biggest names of the industry which are Kareena Kapoor and Big B Amitabh Bachchan.
