Rakta Charitra Review, Rating
This is the typical Ram Gopal Varma's movie which is not for definitely not for the weak spirited and the bleeting audience. The film has been in the headlines since the announcement of its release. Vivek oberoi who started of hos Bollywood career with Ramu again goes back to his launcher to reveive his sinking career and hopefully Rakta Charitra would do the trick as it is far far better film than Ramu has made in the recent past.
The movie which is released today is the first part of Rakta Charitra which focused on the birth and rise of ‘Paritala Ravi’ and to add more spice Ramu added his own made fiction and commercial elements to the real story in an attempt to win hearts. The story goes something like this, Veerabhadraiah (Rajendra Gupta) is a trusted aide of MLA Narasimha Reddy. Veerabhadraiah gets killed due to caste based reasons planted by Nagamani Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Veerabhadraiah's son played by Sushant also get killed which prompted his younger brother Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi) to enter in the drama and seek revenge.
Pratap Ravi kills his enemies and takes his revenge however Nagamani Reddy’s son Bukka Reddy (Abhimanyu Singh) is just behind his tale and looking for an opportunity to rip his head off. Amidst all this, Politician Shivaji Rao (Shatrughan Sinha) supports Pratap to end the episode of Bukka Reddy.
Abhimanyu Singh who plays Bukka Reddy is the man of the match and has left behind veterans like Shatrughan Sinh and Vivek Oberoi in terms of performance. Radhika Apte, Sushant, Tanikella Bharani and Subhalekha Sudhakar also performed quite well in the film.
In all, this movie shall be seen for its brilliant concept, superb performances of Abhimanyu Singh & Vivek Oberoi and for the direction of Ram Gopal Verma.
Rating - 3.5 / 5
