Jhootha Hi Sahi Movie Review, Rating
One thing which prompt you to go for Jhootha hi Sahi amidst the release of two other biggies, Mallika Sherawat Hisss and Ramgopal Verma Rakta Charitra, is the charm which was depicted in the Abbas Tyrewala debut venture 'Jaane tu ya Jaane na'. An unknown actress, a bollywood hunk and story revolves around on his lies is the picture comes to your mind when you see the promos and trailers.
The story goes something like this as Siddharth played by John Abraham who works in a bookstore in London named 'Kagaz Ke Phool' with his Pakistani friend Omar (Raghu Ram). He has a girlfriend Kutika (Manasi Scott) who never leaves a chance to dominate him. The twist comes when Sid starts getting the calls from people who are attemting suicide as his number was mistakenly printed on fliers of an Indian emergency suicide helpline and later on he takes on the counseling job.
The counseling goes on fine until he receives a call from Mishka (Pakhi) who keeps him up the whole night with her threatened suicide. The enigmatic woman causes him to seek her out in real life and soon there is love in the air.
Good performances are delivered by John and Pakhi and some really hilarious scenes will accompany you like the one in which Sid accidentally buys porn films leaving him embarrassed in front of Mishka who's at the cash counter. Then, the scene in which Omar and Krutika land up in the same Chinese restaurant where Sid is with Mishka, is uproarious.
This movies has a fresh look and it smells something new. All in all it deserves to be seen once for the geek charm of John Abraham.
