Commonwealth Games (CWG) Medal Tally : India Slips to Number 3

All is happening in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Delhi. The game organizers are still been criticized for the empty stadiums and other petty issues. Couple of foreign players have been caught making indecent remarks and gestures, however despite all the odds, every Indian has his eyes on the medal tally.

However India has now slipped to the number 3 spot in the medal tally at 19th Commonwealth Games. England has taken the seat from India with the total medals of 77 (20 Gold, 37 Silver, 20 Bronze) where as India has won 50 medals (20 Gold, 16 Silver, 14 Bronze) so far. India has maintained itself on the second position since the start of the competition but slipped to one place down today.

Despite of losing the second place, India is having a great and memorable run at the 19th Commonwealth Games and it is our best performance so far in the CWG.

Australia is at the top position since day one with the total of 102 medals (48 Gold, 26 Silver and 28 Bronze) and looks extremely difficult to dislodge them from the top spot.
