Commonwealth Games Theme Song of A R Rahman would be better than Waka Waka ?
It is still not determined whether the stadiums would be ready by the inauguration of the Common Wealth Games however other arrangements are on its way and assuming everything would take place on time and in style. On the top of this list is the CWG theme song which is composed by Oscar Award Winner A R Rahman.
When contacted Rahman, he said that it would take 10 more days to release the song as he is in the process of giving it the final touches. Rahman is confident that news song called 'Yaaro India bula liya' would go beyond FIFA world cup official song 'Waka Waka' by Shakira.
"I can't reveal much because I have to tweak the lyrics a bit and add some sound elements. But the song is about India, about energy, winning and not giving up. We want the crowd to sing along with us at the opening ceremony. It is simple but not simplistic," Rahman said.
Rahman said the song is not on the line of Waka Waka and not created with the intension to overshadow any other official song.
Commonwealth Games Organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi also looked very pleased with the song and said that this theme song will make every Indian proud.
A R Rahman would be performing live in the opening ceremony however it is said that the song would be released before the schedule ceremony.
