Endhiran Box Office Report : First Day Collection sets new records

As expected, Endhiran which was declared a hot even before its release, the costliest movie made in the History of Indian Cinema is doing its magic with the numbers. Rajni Mania has got the ball rolling as packed cinema halls were witnessed in South as well as North India. Its direct competitor in North India, Anjaana Anjaani has been declared as a sluggish and expected to pull the least crowd.

The exact number of the sales and collection has not been revealed as the real numbers would be coming at weekend i.e. today and tomorrow, however it is on its way to become the highest grosser ever in Indian Cinema and brell all the records. It has been released in more than 3000 theaters across the world and most of them are reporting full houses including outside India.

It is expected that the makers 'Sun Pictures' would recover its cost which is between Rs 160 crore - Rs 200 crore, in first 3 days as the market pundits have declared that it would do the business of Rs 400 crore - Rs 500 crore in the initial two weeks of its release.

the best part is rajni o looks young whereas aish looks too old
its seems movie taken for aish not for rajni

The movie surely will touch Rs. 500 Crore mark, afterall all indians to be proud that a truly sci-fi movie indian film industry ever made.
  • oh come on, 400 crores? this article is definitely an under researched one. Anjaana anjaani is doing great in the north, expected to gross 30 crore this weekend and Robot has been declared a bomb in the north. If you are talking about the revenues in the south, then that makes some sense but all india verdict, is just plain wrong...

There are 2250 prints, and the movie is booked housefull for first three days. 2250 printsX500seats per showX 4 shows a dayX3 daysX150rs per ticket = 67.5 crores. Then for next ten days just in AP and TN = 1700 prints in AP and TN X atleast ten days X 500 seats X 4 shows X 150rs = 510 crores. 510 c plus 67.5 c = 577.5c!!!!! Podhuma?

** Remember the tickets are advance booked/housefull in ap and tn for first two weeks.

in geneva, they initially arranged for only one show, but because og high demand they got to extend for another show...

first half is very nice..in the second half they could have avoided some flaws like too much of graphics..but its ok,,,

the movie sucks. The cgi was good, but the storyline was the main part of the movie, which sucked. Who cares if all the robots group together to form a ball, snake, or a big giant man?
  • October 28, 2011 at 6:50 AM
I think this movie will collect more than 500 crore.
  • i watched the movie on third day only without booking tickets i went to theatre and took the tickets as usually it is not so worth to watch that movie looks like cartoon movie.
  • the movie is not so worth to watch and its all hype which the movie has got and about shankar is not a director he only chooses the top actors in the industry to get name and fame thats all and how can robots can form a shape of ball, snake and many more it all in cartoon it can be done but rajini sir is best we cant speak about him he is good actor
