Commonwealth Games (CWG) Opening Ceremony Live Updates

Finally the mother of all events, the biggest Common Wealth Games ever kicks off in Delhi in style. The biggest personalities of the nation and over 7000 foreign delegates are the part of the mega event. Prince Charles, President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and foreign diplomats among other VIPs are present at the moment and witness the Indian olympics as it been named bu Indian media.


It was inaugurated by Prince Charles and President Pratibha Patil at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi as more than 60,000 spectators view the spectacular scenes at the stadium. Yes, 60,000 people in the stadium and millions watching the opening ceremony at their homes and feeling proud on this memorable moment.

Various performances have been planned for the 3 hour long ceremony as traditional folk performances kick off ceremony and Hariharan sings and welcomes all with the song 'Swagatam'. Lots of Colors and rich Indian traditional performances, Child prodigy's tabla performance, Giant Balloon and many more still to come.
