Johny Depp Backs West Memphis 3 Benefit Concert
Jessie Misskelley Jr., Damien Echols and Jason Baldwin are West Memphis 3 who have been convicted of three murders in West Memphis in 1993, however even after 17 years in prison, they haven’t given up in their fight to prove their innocence.
West Memphis 3 arranged a concert to gather support for the West Memphis 3 and to collect money for the legal fees. The West Memphis rally has been joined by over 2500 people where Johnny Depp, Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines also joined them for their common campaign
Actor Johnny Depp has fervently thrown his support behind the West Memphis 3, hosting a benefit concert in hopes of calling attention to the three young men he believes have been wrongfully convicted of heinous crimes.
The date of the concert falls is just one month before Damien Echols, the one of the West Memphis 3 on death row, who appeals for a new trial. Their fate will be decided on on 30th Sept when the Arkansas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Echols' appeal for a new trial.
