China Traffic Jam is back, 120 kilometres long on Jingzang Highway

Nation which is known to tackle the problems and take decision with the flip of a finger is struggling to tackle its latest problem. In yet another gigantic traffic jam, Beijing-Tibet roadway in northern China is blocked with more than 14,000 vehicles lined up across 120 km. Initially the traffic jam was attributed to just maintenance work in the Beijing-Tibet highway.

The highway has been experiencing massive traffic jams since mid-August, as the Beijing-Xinjiang highway is being repaired. Last month trucks were stuck for 5 days on the highway and there was a traffic jam of 100kms. More than 100 Inner Mongolian police officers are on duty to control the jam on the Xinjiang Highway. In about half a month, the expressway has experienced at least three traffic jams.

This has been marked as the world's longest traffic jam, the expressway has been packed with trucks loaded with coal and other vehicles. This traffic jam has limits the supply of the coal as all the trucks which are carrying the same are stuck in the jam where as it has also adversely affect the income of drivers who stuck on the highway spending their time by playing cards and sleeping.
