Roger Federer beats Mardy Fish to win Cincinnati Masters Final

Roger Federer claimed his 63rd career title tied with all time greatest Bjorn Borg for 5th place and just one title behind Pete Sampras who has won 64 titles sitting at number 4 spot.

Federer beat Mardy Fish 6-7 (5), 7-6 (1), 6-4 in the final on Sunday to win the Cincinnati Masters championship final. Fish was aggressive and gave spectators a hope, who were behind him, after winning the first set in a tie break; however the same old story was repeated from Federer as after that ge didn't give much to Fish.

This was the first time Swiss champ was put put to real test in Cincinnati Masters as he was on court for only 28 minutes in his opening match before Denis Istomin hurt his ankle. Federer didn't even have to leave the locker room to advance a day later. Philipp Kohlschreiber dropped out because of a sore shoulder.

Believe it or not, increased competition in the sports make it more interesting as Nadal snatched away the number 1 spot from Federer and became the favorite of the crowd; however now fans want more competition and wanted Fish to win this title.

There is long road for Federer to become the all the greatest champion and beat the record of Jimmy Connors who won 109 titles as there is lot of good competition and it is not a one man game anymore.
