ICC ODI rankings : Dhoni loses top spot to De Villiers, Sehwag now in top 10

Mahendra Singh Dhoni not only lost the final in Tri-Series in Sri Lanka but also lost his top spot in ICC ODI rankings, however his team mate and inform batsman these days Virender Sehwag makes it to the top 10 of the rankings after his impressive performance in Sri Lanka.

Sehwag who was also the man of the series, scored 268 at an average of 67 which brought him the eighth place. It seems Sehwag is also lucky for counterparts who are involved with him not so pleasantly, as Dilshan who denied him a century also moved up by three places and now stands at fourth position with South Africa's Hashim Amla.

AB de Villiers is at the top courtesy Dhoni's not so impressive performance in the recent series.

As far as the team ratings are concerned, India stay on second position despite of losing the final, followed by Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka who stand at number 3 & 4 respectively. Sri Lanka, before the tri series at home, was at 6th position which has now been by New Zealand

Teams who are preparing for Ashes i.e. Australia and England are at first and fifth spot, remain unchanged.

One surprise entry is Praveen Kumar in the list of bowlers as after his good performance in the recent series he has gained five places and for the first time ever in his career has made it to the top 10 bowlers of the world at number 10 sharing place with Shaid Afridi.
