Virat Kohli stars in India vs Australia 2nd ODI Scorecard
India's bench strength overpowered the bench strength of Australia when India successfully chases a high target of 290 in the limited overs game. India after winning the second ODI in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday leads the series by 1-0.
Australia's Cameron White played one of the finest innings of One Day Internationals where skipper Clarke was holding one end, however these knocks have been overshadowed by the brilliant knock by 21-year-old Virat Kohli who brought India its first win in the series.
White hammered six sixes and as many fours in his 49-ball knock of 89 as the tourists plundered 84 runs in the last five overs. Australia were struggling at 16 for two after being put in to bat before Clarke (111) and Hussey (69)steadied the innings.
Clarke completed his century in the 46th over, hitting paceman Vinay Kumar for two successive fours and then turning the next ball to mid- wicket for a single. Clarke cracked one six and seven fours in his 138- ball knock.
Australia after a slow start tried to prove their dominance in ODIs with the hep of White's knock, however India's young batting line up jolted up their dreams like they did in the Test Series. The third and final international will be played in Goa on Sunday.
