Holiday in Bangalore on Valmiki Jayanti (Pargat Diwas) on Oct 22

Most of the Schools and Government offices in Bangalore will remain closed on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti this coming Friday i.e. 22nd October. It would be observed as Pargat Diwas by community of Maharishi Valmiki. Some schools would go ahead and open the schools as that have mentioned that they are already behind the schedule due to the holidays declared during the Ayodhya Verdict.

On Valmiki Jayanti, shobha yatras would be performed by his followers although there is controversy over the exact year of the birth of the Valmiki Ramyana somewhere is dated around 500 BC to 100 BC. Shobha yatras are performed by the devotees and followers of Maharishi Valmiki, followed by which meetings would take place and langars would be organized at various parts of the city.

Yedurappa has a religion disability that makes his fear of god take silly decisions for vague religious characters that have no relevance to our current day and age. Another wasted day for the city, state and loss to everyone.
