Vera Zvonareva advances to US Open 2010 Final, defeated Caroline Wozniacki
Vera Zvonareva proved too strong for the beautiful top seed Caroline Wozniacki. Against the expectations, Wozniacki looked nervous during the game and made many unforced errors than usual as she seemed struggling with the blustery conditions on Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Wozniacki made negligible impact on Zvonareva's serve and her groundstrokes were inconsistent at best. On the other hand, Zvonareva looked more stronger and composed as her coach sits in the stands and cheering her on every point won.
There was a small episode of changing rackets by Zvonareva, she changed 4 rackets in the middle of the game which brought some smile to the fans as they looked disappointed to see losing everyone's favorite Wozniacki. Every time Caroline to put some pressure Zvonareva serve however she responded with the equal force, proving the science law 'Every action has equal reaction'.
Zvonareva won the match in straight sets (6-4, 6-3) and would now meet the winner of match between Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams.
