MTV VMA Awards 2010 Red Carpet : Lady Gaga & Katy Perry dress raises eyes

Lady Gaga & Katy Perry outfits are the most talked about when these ladies made their way on the white carpet of MTV VMA Awards 2010. This time Gaga chose glam rather than weird. She was seen sporting a feather Mohawk hat, blue highlighted hair and a green, gold and rust-colored gown with taffeta detailing and a religious image on it. She was flanked by people in military get-ups.

After she made a grand entry into the 2010 Music Video Awards, , with in twenty minutes pop icon Lady Gaga — Queen of the Little Monsters — added another jewel to her feathered-mohawk crown, when she won the Best Female Video of the Year for "Bad Romance".

Beyoncé's fierce "Video Phone" extended remix (featuring Lady Gaga), Katy Perry's psychedelically saccharine "California Gurls," Ke$ha's infectious "Tik Tok" and Taylor Swift's pop/country ditty "Fifteen" were the competitors of Lady Gaga in this category.

On the other hand, Katy Perry wore a short and sort of irregular transparent, see-through dress at the VMAs Sunday night. She showed off her manicure (fiance Russell Brand's face was painted on her nails) by giving the cameras an obscene gesture.


After the Red Carper or in-fact White Carpet session, Eminem and Rihanna's dark "Love the Way You Lie" kicked off Sunday's MTV Video Music Award show in Los Angeles as host Chelsea Handler skewered Kanye West and Lady Gaga won the first televised award of the evening

Handler made her grand opening by descending from the ceiling in a Gaga-like, over-the-top dress with a model house on her head.

Later, Gaga got teary-eyed as she won the ceremony's first award – best female video. It was her third win of the evening following two pre-show awards. She had a record 13 nominations going into the show.
