Connie Stevens, Debbie Reynolds & Elizabeth Taylor ex-husband Eddie Fisher Dies
Eddie Fisher, the Pop Singer entertainer, who was famous for his fan followings of teenage girls in the era of 1950's and also for his high-profile marriages scandals died at 82 due to the complications from hip surgery. He died in Berkeley, California, on Wednesday after the decline in health from recent hip surgery, said his family in a statement on Thursday.
In the early 50s, Fisher sold millions of records with 32 hit songs including "Thinking of You," "Any Time," "Oh, My Pa-pa," "I'm Yours," "Wish You Were Here," "Lady of Spain" and "Count Your Blessings."
He got married to Debbie Reynolds in 1955 and they were named as "America's favorite couple", however Fisher divorced Reynolds and married Taylor in 1959 when his best friend, producer Mike Todd, was killed in a 1958 plane crash. The Fisher-Taylor marriage lasted only five years as she fell in love with co-star Richard Burton during the Rome filming of "Cleopatra", followed by which Fisher married actress Connie Stevens, and they had two daughters.
