The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission came into existence on 1 st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. It had been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India to carry out various statutory functions which includes Direct Recruitment, Recruitment by transfer, Statutory rules relating to services, Disciplinary cases, Reimbursement of legal expenses, Wound and extraordinary pension cases.
