Amanat Brar, The Girl accused in Chandigarh hit and run case

In an another drunk driving case which took place in Chandigarh where couple of drunk girls were racing on the road left a young man and his cousin, a five-year-old child thrown off their motorcycle and eventually dead.

A Day Later, A Girl identified as Amanat Brar surrendered herself at a police station after fleeing from the scene at the time of the accident. Amanat is a 19 year old US based girl, the daughter of a Dubai based businessman.

The Honda that caused the accident is owned by Amanat's grandfather, Colonel GS Brar. The teenager has allegedly confessed to the police that she was at the wheel.

The other accused Harsimar, her friend who was in the car at the time of the accident, is still absconding.

Amanat whose real name is revealed as Sukhmani Brar has been has been charged with causing death due to negligence; however was granted bail within two hours of her arrest.
