TCS Q2 2010-11 Results show 32% increase in profit



Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reported a net rise in profit by 32 % which takes it to the net profit of Rs 2,169.21 in the second quarter of this year. India's largest software firm had reported the net profit of Rs 1,642.21 in the 2nd quarter of the last year.

TCS CEO and MD N Chandrasekaran on the results said, "It has been a quarter of superior performance across the board, driven by volume growth of over 11 per cent. In uncertain economic conditions, our results are a milestone on the path to strong demand recovery".

TCS is now working with 1,74,417 employees which was reported at the end of September where 19,293 people were employed during the quarter and 30 new clients are added to the existing list of clients.
