Champions League Final : Chennai Super Kings beats Warriors (Scorecard)



Chennai Super Kings has got themselves another reason to smile after clinch the champions trophy after beating Warriors in an one sided game last night. While batting first Warriors set the target of 128 with the loss of seven wickets in their complete quota of 20 overs, in reply Chennai took their time and scored these runs in 19 overs with the loss of just 2 wickets.

Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay gave Chennai the start which they were looking for as the bowl was coming on to the bat and it was not an easy wicket to ban. Hussey scored 51 off 46 balls where as Vijay scored 58 off 53 making him the man of the match for this innings. Earlier Muttiah Muralitharan and Ravichandran Ashwin troubled Warriors clinching 3 & 2 wickets respectively by giving just 16 runs each in their quota of 4 overs with the economy rate of 4.0.

Davey Jacobs & Craig Thyssen are the top scorers from Warriors scoring 34 & 25 respectively. Last match star Nicky Boje came in little late to give Warriors a strong foundation of runs, he only faced 10 balls and scored 8 remained unbeaten. Makhaya Ntini and Boje took one wicket each.

So, as predicted by the pundits as well as by us Mr Cool bring home another trophy with the whopping prize money of 2,500,000 US$
