The mouse will now be a thing of the past
Apple recently released a slew of hardware products, including a 27-inch high resolution display, and the super sexy Magic Trackpad, which replaces the mouse with hand gestures.
This means that you can have the Trackpad for your Mac machines and do just about everything intuitively with your fingers.
According to Macworld: “ The Magic Trackpad is a single surface; the trackpad is the button— again, just like the trackpads on recent MacBook Pros. The device sits at the same level of incline as Apple’s Wireless Keyboard, meaning you should be able to move your hands back and forth between the keyboard and the trackpad with ease.” Interestingly, the Magic Trackpad supports gestures such as scrolling, rotating, zooming, and more with two fingers, along with three- finger swiping back and forth between Web pages, and four- finger expose triggers.
According to Apple: “ Magic Trackpad works using Bluetooth technology, so you don’t have to deal with an annoying cable that dictates where you place it. Once you pair Magic Trackpad with your Bluetooth- enabled Mac, you’ll enjoy a reliable, secure connection up to 33 feet away.” It further adds: “ The surface of Magic Trackpad is one large button, so you can click and double- click anywhere.
Magic Trackpad also supports a full set of gestures, including two- finger scrolling, pinching to zoom, rotating with your fingertips, three- finger swiping, and activating Expose or switching between applications with four fingers.” Cool, eh?
