Peepli Live has a Bihar connection

Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan’s next film as a producer, Peepli Live has been generating a lot of buzz in Bihar. The reason behind this excitement is that the much talked- about movie stars some artistes from Bihar.

Theatre artiste Pravin Singh Sisodia, who has been associated with Patna’s Kala Sangam group, plays an important role in the film which is slated for release on August 13. Though Sisodia has played bit roles in a few Bollywood films like Zakham , Peepli Live is the first major break for him.

A ten- yearold girl, Parul, from Muzaffarpur district is also looking forward to the release of the film. Parul, who portrays the role of the daughter of the main protagonist, says that even Aamir had praised her performance in the film.

Parul’s mother Priyanka also has a role in the film in which all the actors, except the lead actor Raghubir Yadav, are relatively unknown faces.

Parul, who is the daughter of a theatre artiste from Bihar, got the role while Aamir was scouting for talent in the theatre world for his offbeat film.
