India International Trade Fair 2010 becomes eco friendly



The flagship event of the India Trade Promotion Organisation ( ITPO), the 30th edition of the India International Trade Fair or IITF 2010, has been declared as Green IITF. The fair will focus on its main theme - clean & energy efficient technology, product and services - at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from November 14 to 27, 2010.

Highlighting the global concern of energy, security and environmental protection, the thematic display will cover new- age technologies, products and management systems for efficient use of energy and its conservation.

Extensive efforts are being made to create eco-friendly ambience at Pragati Maidan. As in the previous year, this year too, the exhibition ground will be a ‘ No Smoking Zone’ with a ban on use of plastic carry bags.

For the first time online booking for the space has been started in order to provide convenience to Indian and overseas participants at the annual fair. The fair is also putting spotlight on the entire spectrum of policies, plans and activities that ensure socio economic empowerment of the weaker sections of society. The IITF is an endeavor to attain sustainable growth in exports.

The fair will showcase some achievements in different halls in the form of special displays comprising wide range of products and services.
